Roxy Napping after a long Walk

Here We are, Another Winter

It’s really been way less adventures than I anticipated this year. I struggled a lot with getting out to do much of anything. I had big plans, but smoke, combined with rising costs, and added stress made things significantly harder to get out and do the things I really wanted to do this summer.

I’ve been piecing this together for a while trying to gather my thoughts and energies to post. I’ve been working on a new business venture when I’m not working my primary job. You can find out more about it over at vaemods.com! That being said I’ve not done nearly as much photography in recent months and have struggled. Fall came and went, played a lot more golf to kind of get back to my roots.

The first snow flew (the day after my last round of golf for the year of all times…) and now it’s a regular occurence. Thanksgiving has come and gone, I went to visit family and took Roxy with me. It was her first big trip and she was so well behaved. She shook a little on the truck ride, but came through it with flying colors.

Thanksgiving was an opportunity to get a different landscape…yet I didn’t take my camera with me hardly at all. I should have but it rained so much that I didn’t want to risk it. I did go out to the “beach” and looked back at the city with my camera though. I used my Polar Pro Circular Polarizer and a Gobe ND1000 filter to take 6 second exposures in broad daylight. This is the result:

I wasn’t able to capture much down at the water due to the number of people and animals. But I’m glad I at least got this. I feel like my creativity and eye is waning and it’s frustrating. Writer’s get writer’s block, what is it called when a photographer gets it?

Anyway, hoping to keep y’all updated as we progress and hoping to be able to capture more photos in the near future! Keep your eyes on this blog and hopefully my updates will be far more frequent.
